I have a Pomeranian who will be 2 years old in December called Bindi. Last year i used to work alot of early shifts and would be up around 6am excluding weekends when i would get up whenever i woke up. Bindi would be let out of the bedroom (where she sleeps in her own doggy bed) but wouldnt get fed until around 8am. Now i work fairly normal shifts and get up around 7am but Bindi is getting up and walking around at about 4am and because we have laminate flooring the tapping around wakes me up and i end up just letting her out of the bedroom so i can get some more sleep. Which i know isnt helping. How can i "train" her to stay in bed longer? I don;t understand why she is getting up at 4am every morning when i only used to get up at 6 when i used to work early. When i am at my partners house she has a carpeted room and this does help but between 6 and 7 Bindi will jump on the bed to wake us up. Bindi is always taken for a walk before bed and has the chance to go to the toilet numerous times throughout the day.
Any advice would be appreciated.
