I was renting a house and moved out. The letting agent came round on the last day to do what we thought was a final inspection and take the property back. I wasn't in attendance of this however my ex partner was.
Now the Landlord has gone into the property a) without anyone being there and b) some days later and noted some damages that he wants to keep our deposit for. (1. Laminate flooring scratches that we cannot prove was us but cannot prove they weren't there before and 2. some garden issues)
Where do I stand in regards to the final inspection? I was under the assumption that the Letting agents inspection was final although we did not sign anything? The letting agent did not point out anything asides from a few items of furniture and rubbish that my ex partner should have got rid of.
