I live in a 3rd floor of a flat. In recent weeks, I have noticed swelling on my laminate floor boards, water seems to be seeping through the gaps. I got a plumber in to have a look at it today, he didn't take out the panels to have a look, he didn't want to break the floor boards to pieces to find out there are no pipes running underneath, by looking around, the pipes all seem to run to the attic instead through the floor. he took out a strip that connects the kitchen floor to the hallway floor and that showed the underlay is soaking wet and little creatures are moving about as well, and he lifted up the laminate floor board a little to have a look underneath, and he said he is pretty sure it is just a concrete flooring underneath the underlay. And he has no idea why the floor is wet. What is happening? I do believe in the long run that I will have to replace the floorboards due to the water damage to the floor boards. The swelling seems to be spreading as well. Who shall I call to have a look at the floor?
Thank you.
