I will be painting my open plan room and lounge with forest green (dark luxurious green) and the skirting boards in white as I love the idea of the green colour to really bring out more vibrant luxurious colours (I love colours. I am not the sort of person that likes a house painted cream or white or even pastels). My floor is laminate light wood and my bedroom furniture is going to be brown based, with gold or crea, faux silk curtains. But I am really stuck for a furniture colour scheme for the lounge. I was thinking of white wall unit (which will act as a room divider) and white sofas (I don't have children or pets so no problems in soiling on white)with a bright coloured central mat and some colourful accessories. But I am not sure as I had my heart set on a aubergine purple sofa and possibly a dark brown/black wall unit to carry through the bedroom colour. Any ideas would be helpful. I want the luxurious effect with strong vibrant colours in the background I am just not sure if white is the colour that will make the room pop with vibrancy? Any ideas would be wonderful.
Thanks everyone who has answered so far for your brilliant answers. Yes I want to create luxurious, vibrant but cosy too is important.
