For the last year and a half, I?ve had noisy neighbours. They constantly bang, row with each other, have the TV on loud and when they?re in I can?t even hear my own TV.
They have installed laminated flooring, which makes it worse. Unfortunately it is not against the tenancy agreement so we can?t force them to remove it.
We had noise recording equipment round by the Housing Officer told them we were having it, he also told them the period we were going to have it. They were really quiet that week.
I have gone down every avenue possible and we are trying to move but there is a huge waiting list.
Our light fixtures shake and it?s often difficult to eat at the table because the vibrations sometimes cause that to shake.
They are threatening to sue us for ?harassment? if we keep complaining, even though they keep harassing us. They intimidate us by putting their face towards ours as they walk past as if they want a fight.
Other neighbours have complained. The boyfriend has also been seen to exchange packages for money and I strongly suspect he is a drug dealer but I cannot prove it.
Everyday is a drag.
Believe me I?ve only told a small fragment of what we deal with. As a type I can hear massive bangs and I can feel the vibrations.
My doctor has sent several letters to Housing as it is affecting my health. I no longer exercise as I am too tired, I keep forgetting things and I keep trembling due to stress.
I feel absolutely worn out and I?ve lost all motivation in life. I don?t feel like I have much of a future. All my energy is gone. I can?t even be bothered going to the shops.
I did have ambitions in life but I no longer care. I haven?t enjoyed a day since they moved in.
If the rest of my life remains like this I'd rather be dead.
