I am currently attempting to fit laminate flooring in my kitchen and a couple of queries have arose. Firstly I should say it's an Ikea product, so the instructions simply show a man throwing the boards on the floor and then they suddenly assemble themselves!
Right, first topic: The spacers. What are there purpose? Do I need them? What happens once I've finished, do I now have to live with spacers forever?
Second topic: Skirting board: I've taken up the carpet and the tacs, but do I also need to remove the skirting board around the perimeter? If so how do I then put it back afterwards?
Thanks!
