Is it possible to lay laminate flooring to go over an edge?

Laminate Floors - affordable alternative to the hard wood flooring.

I want to lay laminate flooring in my hall but at one end of the hall there is a step down to the vestibule. Should I bother laminating this room? Or is there a good way of laminating to the edge and getting a decent finish?
