At the weekend I went to pizza hut ...on my way to the salad bar I slipped on a piece of red onion that was on the laminated flooring. On my way to the ground I hit the inside of my upper right arm on a metal post. They put a wet floor sign up after the accident.
The inside of my upper right arm is grazed and bruised! and now a few days later still feels dead!, I have pins and needles around my wrist and thumb area, I am unable to pick up my daughter, push her buggy or do other things with this arm.
I went to my doctor today and he says I've not broken anything but possibly damaged a nerve and pulled the muscle. He says it should feel better in about 3 weeks. I have been prescribed strong pain killers and sleeping tablets and been offered time off work.
Pizza hut treated me with ice, apologised and gave us a free meal, we filled in the accident book. What would you advise I do next? Any idea how much I could get for this type of accident? Who's the best ppl to go to?
Thanks!
