this caused damage to my bathroom laminate flooring and went through the floor into the kitchen causing partial damage to the ceiling and tiled wall, ive contacted the insurance company who state that i have £500 excess, they sent a company round to look at the damaged laminate flooring who quoted £247.01 to repair. I have repaired the floor, ceiling and wall myself therefore didnt need to claim through my insurance. I have recently received a cheque from my insurance company for £247.01. I am now somewhat confused as i have not made a claim and my excess is £500, please can someone explain?
