okay, i have a Siberian husky cross malamute(he looks basically like a very big husky) he's about 5 months now, and so far things have been going really well, but now summer is coming and i'm having trouble when it comes to keeping him cool at night.
In the day its pretty easy, since he can hang out downstairs where its cooler, has access to water and apart from one rug its he either is on laminate floor or on the kitchen floor, plus we'll be getting a little paddling pool soon for him on really hot days.
However, at night he's got used to sleeping upstairs in my room with me(this is mainly due to the fact when he was being house trained upstairs in my room i could keep an eye on him) i've tried putting some laminate flooring in the corner of my room, and right now i've put the fan on full blast and put it by him, but he's still breathing real hard and whenever he wakes up he pants like crazy.
I can't open my window in my room(it's broken and i've already had someone try to get through it when my sister was in this room) and my mum won't let me open the door and let him roam the house 'cause shes afraid at the moment he may wake up my little sister or go to the toilet where he shouldn't, or chase the cats.
Please help, i love him with all my heart and hate seeing him suffer :(
