I'm looking to rent a house because i cant pay my mortgage anymore because I've been made redundant and wanted to know how long it takes to get a house from a private landlord / housing office thing.
I've seen one i like and its in a good location, but i do have a bad credit history, i have dont the housing benefit calculator and will get £300 a month with my son and daughter living with me, my son earns £600 part time and daughter earns £800, the house is £550 pcm so we can easily afford it, i also get £270 pcm off the job center and have redundancy money to pay for rent in advance, deposit e.t.c and would like to move in asap
we have 2 dogs so do private landlords let you keep dogs? they wont be allowed upstairs and the house has laminate through out downstairs so keeping that clean isnt an issue.
What do you guys think? how long should it take?
And can i use my son and daughter as a reference when getting the house or will i need somebody else?
