how do you know if your laminate floor "Floats",our floor is only 5yrs can we ruff it and lay tile or not?

Our house is 5yrs old and we would like to lay tile over the laminate, is this possible? It is in upstairs bathrooms. We want this to be an easy job not a tough one if the floor has a lot of glue on it, or doesnt come up easily...
