I fell over about 2pm today when I slipped on my laminated floor and landed really hard on my bum. I always used to fall on my coccyx as a child so now I feel it more than most people, e.g. sometimes I can't sit down because my coccyx is uncomfortable. Anyway, luckily I fell on my buttocks this time! The problem is, the pain hasn't eased up yet in my right buttock, and it's stopping me from doing anything! I can barely sit down or walk, let alone do household chores! How can I ease the pain? It's probably just bruised but it's really annoying so I just wondered if there's anything I can do? I've taken Paracetamol and Ibuprofen but what else can I do? I've got cool box ice blocks in my freezer, but not a proper ice pack ( could I wrap an ice block in a towel and use that?), or would a hot water bottle be better? What do you think? At the moment, I've got my right buttock propped up on a pillow to ease the pain a bit (it's not really working), but what else can I do? Any ideas?
Also, since I took the meds 25 minutes ago my leg feels dead (ie. pins and needles, tingling, heaviness). Should I be concerned?
