In my old house we had laminate flooring and she left the low noise cylinder hoover alone, also she was still a younger pup then and was content to stay on the sofa out of the way. As soon as i get hold of the dyson she starts barking madly at it, when it is on she will constantly try and grab and pull at it. She's ruined a hoover as she grabbed at the tubes and managed to make holes in them. She will not leave the hoover alone until it is put away at its spot at the bottom of the stairs. My 7 week old pup is also starting to bark when the hoover is on but I think that's just because my other pup is barking.
