I sat cross legged on my cluttered bedroom floor, my auburn curls cascading down my back stopping just below my defined shoulder. Some porcelain faced beauty was staring blankly into the ornate framed mirror. My eyes flickered momentarily to the coursework piling up by my bed. A small groan escaped my lips. I dragged my kohl framed eyes to my open window and thought; my mind explored and wondered.
?Heidi??
My thoughts scattered like important documents flustered by a surge of an English summer breeze.
?I?m in my bedroom!? was all I could reply. I hauled my petite body from the lounging position and shuffled down the stairs, to the kitchen. I bounced up lithely onto the laminate worktop. Disapproving cobalt eyes stared at me. I remembered getting lost in my mother?s eyes. Impossible i know, but they were such a hypnotic blue that i adored.
?Sorry!?
I hastily jumped down and sat boyishly on the nearest chair, my knees huddled to my chest.
My mind wondered again; it was back to the place before interruption. Starring one individual in every thought, every imagination, and every fantasy. Platinum blonde hair swept messily across his right eye, narrowly missing his eye line. A smouldering exhilaration touched his chocolate eyes. Such a wonder he was. His pale olive complexion made my heart flutter. Who was he? This muscular figure of adoration.
?Heidi...Heidi? Have you listened to anything I?ve just expressed to you??
?Huh, what? Sorry, i was a bit err...distracted??
?Hmm!? Her mouth pulled into frustrated grimace. I reached up to touch her cheek. She caught my hand.
?My special girl. How quickly you grew up! ?
?Ah Muuuumm, please don?t go all soppy on me!?
Her fingers traced circles onto my hand, forever leaving an invisible pattern.
?What were you trying to tell me?? I asked remembering my previous reverie.
?Hmm nothing of importance honey!?
I gently removed my hand from her grasp. A sigh escaped my thoughts.
?Sorry mum I?m off out, the others are calling me. Is that alright??
I already knew the answer to this, but i guessed she would appreciate the thought if i checked.
?Sure it is. Just don?t be too late home. I need my beauty sleep!? she teased.
I sauntered out of the room and headed for the door.
I reached the little grassy spot, our little meeting place. It was deserted as usual with the exception of my rowdy lot! I could hear them as i got close to the open field nearby; enclosed with its own natural fence- maybe that was due to the fact my senses were so receptive. The emerald streaked blades swayed lightly to the rhythm of the wind, like when i was younger- six months old maybe- and able to just rock myself gently from side to side.
I was blinded, blinking uncontrollably, as i swiftly got closer to the huddle of giggling girls; I had caught the reflection off of Becca?s vivid blonde hair. Rosie smiled hysterically flapping her arms around erratically as soon as i came into full view. I think in her she forgets i can see her perfectly from a mile away!
?Heidi! Heidi come on, hurry up woman!? She yelled as loud as her thoughts would allow. I sped up momentarily but gave up when i saw her leap up off the floor and start bounding towards me with an overwhelming excitement.
?Hey, hey, hey calm down!? i soothed.
She had my hand in hers, warm rosy hands expressing a dire urgency. They hauled my frame from the carefree posture i quickly assumed. Grabbing my wrists, my arms, anything they could seize. I gave up my resisting and comforting approach and let her lead me towards Becca- who sat in a peaceful state of ecstasy the whole time. She looked up playfully through her thick framed lashes.
?Hey sweetie!? Becca greeted.
?Hello darling!?
Rosie released my arms as we approached at a regular pace.
I sat down softly and gave her my personal bear hug. It was only then that i noticed the crumpled teenage magazine she was reading.
?What is this?? I questioned picking up the glossy pages.
In that case can you help me correct it! I'm trying to go for a level 8 piece of work at school. Your help would be much appreciated!
