about a year ago I made a silhouette on the laminated floor of my kitchen with masking tape and now I'm trying to clean it with poor results. I've tried floor cleaner, soap, dish washer, white spirit, vinegar... you name it. I'm considering using acetone but I'm worried it might damage the varnish as well. the papery part of the tape is long gone - that was easy! - but you still can see the remains of what I assume is the glue. how do I get rid of that without damaging the floor? maybe a hair dryer and some kind of chemical? any ideas? thanks!
