I?m nearly 32 weeks pregnant and have decided that I should start seriously thinking about my birth plan. Its my first baby, I?m terrified of the thought of childbirth and I am also scared of hospitals. So far I am considered low risk and have had no problems (touch wood!). The more I think of it the more I would like to have my baby at home, I think I would be more relaxed and feel safer and calmer in my own home. The only problem I can think of is that I don?t own my house, its privately rented so I would worry that if I make too much of a mess we would get into serious trouble with the landlords. I was thinking about a birthpool which I could put up in my conservatory (which has blinds, I don?t fancy an audience!) and it has laminate flooring so would be easily cleaned. I would like peoples opinions on this please? I know if I mention it to my partner he will say it?s a definite no, no but I just feel that if everything continues to go smoothly I would feel so much happier having my little boy at home. Has anyone else been in this situation? I would love to hear. Thanks xx
