Robert Gen and Sean J who answered the question earlier-I took photo of the cistern (hot w tank) and of the reveal in the left hand cavity beside the chimney breast and there does appear to be capped pipework. Obviously I am not a plumber or heating eng. We have called for the guy to come back and lift the laminate again to check the far corners

Tried the left side of the chimney breast found cavity no pump though. Noise comes from chimney breast as though metal plates banging together-it's not the usual knocking sound as I have known that in previous houses . Ok full story:-Brit Gas chap can't find the pump of the six rad one way baxi (behind fire-concrete floor downstairs)

Why does my laminate floor bounce?

A joiner fitted a laminate floor for me and it bounces slightly in the middle. When I brought him back, he explained than the existing floor underneath isnt perfectly flat and that due to the fact he pressed it down around the edges before fitting the beading it is causing it to life very lightly.
If Im honest it isnt that bad but Im not sure if

I bought 16m NUMERAR worktop in two separate batches in 2007 the foil front peeled of weeks after being installed an Independent assessor deemed a manufacturing fault and IKEA agreed to replace and fit a new batch of worktop. The kitchen fitter IKEA contracted made an unsatisfactory job of fitting the worktops; he also damaged a new laminate
