Today I was flooded as a result of a blocked pipe within the flat upstairs. My bathroom ceiling needs replaced and there is damage to my front door frame, internal plasterboard wall and a small bit of swollen laminate flooring.
I contacted my factors (grant and wilson) who provide our building insurance to arrange for the repair and was advised that I would be liable for the £250 excess charge, even though my upstairs neighbour has admitted responsibility for the damage. I don't feel this is right, can anyone offer advice on what I can do?
