I live in a privately rented block of flats and my entrance door which is wood laminate has been damaged due to an accident with the key in the lock. A managing agent looks after the block but refuses to tell me where I can get a door to replace the damaged one. I am reluctant to tell my landlady as she may be very upset and want me to leave the property. I am happy to pay for a replacement door but the doors are all the same and I have been told it could cost as much as £500 to replace the door as the laminate is batch produced and a door replacement would have to be specially made. Is this true?
Also as a second question, does anyone know what I could use to fill small holes and cover scratches on laminate flooring?
