i have a 6 year old and a 4 year old who drive us nuts with pens and pencils!
my 6 year old has always got a pen in her hand and paper and it drives us mad..
i love that they want to draw and i try not to discourage them from doing it as i remember loving it when i was little.. but they draw on everything.. we just bought them lots of paper and pens and things to trace on so they have plenty of paper to use but they both think its ok to draw on the beds the floor the table the walls my leather sofa.. you name it they have drawn on it.. even the white plastic surround that is on the upvc windows they have drawn on.. they have drawn on duvets ( mainly my 6 year old my 4 year old isnt as bad ) covers and pillow's, back in the summer my 6 year old went to a friends house and she drew all over her friends brand new bed and duvet set..
i dont get y she does it.. how can i stop her.. we say she has to ask to do anything like that but she never does she just helps herself and thinks its ok to do it..
tonight she has drawn on the laminate flooring ( fair point it will probably wash but its not the point )
what else can i do to deterr them from drawing on everything.. and we have tried taking the stuff away and binning it.. but i feel bad as they should be able to express themself though creativity!!
