We are moving into a house that is laminated throughout, including the stairs. I'm not a fan of laminate but on the stairs really concerns me especially as I have three children the youngest of which is 20 months.
Everything else about the house is perfect and we can't afford to look elsewhere but when I asked the landlady if she minded if I fitted a carpet runner or something on the stairs she wasn't happy about it at all as her Dad fitted it for her, it took him 3 weeks to do it cost a lot. She advised that she didn't want adhesive to damage it etc.
Is there anything you can put over a laminated stairs that we can remove when we leave there in a few years time and won't damage it?
Many Thanks.
The landlady won't let us lift the floor. I am hoping, I think, that someone will know of some kind stair treaders or something that I can put on that won't mark when lifted. She has the metal bits on the front of the stairs that are supposed to prevent slipping but I'm not sure it would do much good if someone was to fall.
