I've had the dreaded 3 red lights on my 360. However, if i leave it for a while, and let it cool, it comes back on with no red lights, onto the dashboard as normal, i can then start a game, but freezes a minute or 2 after playing, with some squiggly lines appearing, and a buzzing noise from the tv.
It froze about a week earlier as well, with the 3 lights, but after restarting it, it has worked fine.
Usually, i have my 360 laid flat on a hard, laminate flooring, but for the last 2 weeks, it has been flat on a carpet. Has this caused it to overheat and show the 3 lights?
I have only left it to cool for about an hour. If i just leave it overnight could it cool and correct itself, or has long term damage been cause to it?
Advice would be appreciated, Thanks.
Dom T- It's around 2 years old, so one of the older ones.
Is it neccessary to send it to microsoft, or just giving it time to cool will do the trick?
