I have just moved into a rented property, the carpet in the lounge is very poor quality and doesn't fit the room (looks like an off cut which has been taped down leaving a 2 foot gap all around the room) I have offered to put down laminate flooring, at my expense, but the landlord says that the carpet is fine and he doesn't like laminate. I have read my tenancy agreement and all it states is that the house must be left in the condition it is found in. If i was to lay a click and lock laminate flooring over the carpet, when removing the laminate at the end of the tenancy would it leave any marks, for example does it have to be glued down anywhere? Thanks :-)
