I plan to install my first solid wood floor which features a tongue and groove system (the planks fit together but don't lock). This is going on a concrete floor and i already have the correct underlay so thats not the issue. I want to know how is the proper way to install it... can i glue the joints and treat it like a floating floor (similar to laminate) or do i need to glue the wood down to the floor or do i need to nail the floor down.
I have laid lots of laminate and engineered flooring before but this is my first "solid wood" floor. Keeping in mind that this is going on a ground floor which has a concrete floor (i have tested the moisture and it's 4%)
how you would you install the floor i.e. joint glue, full glue or nail/screw.......and what is your experience installing solid wood flooring?
Thanks
Just to let people know, there were no instructions with the wood, hence why i am asking! thanks
