One of my partners brothers is a carpenter/builder.
My partner has organised for him to come and laminate the kids bedroom floor (we would pay for the laminate only) then whilst he's here, he said he will look at a job we want doing in the kitchen, which involves removing large windows and replacing them with bricks. He said he could do it very cheap for us.
My problem is, this brother is ok when he;s sober (altough I haven;t met him that many time so could be wrong). But he gets drunk and does crazy things which worries me. Last night he got drunk and smashed his mums window because he wanted to get into the house (at 4am). He is in his 30's and has his own family.
I have a really bad feeling about this and also don't think family should be involved in finances because it gets awkward. I don't like him because of how he treats his mother and her house and worry about my baby here.
The trouble is my partner has arranged this without me. How can i explain in a way...continues
which won't offend my partner because he feels he has done good because he will be saving us loads of money. He has done well there but chosen the wrong person.
Please help because i need to nip this in the bud

I understand yor point Angler, but what if after he's done the kitchen he sayd to my partner lets go out and get drunk? he will have to stay at our house and we have a baby! my partner won't be able to say no
